paper mill situated at Erode, Tamil Nadu concentrating
on production of fine papers. SPB was established
in 1960. Today SPB produces over 115,000 tpa
of fine papers and exports around 20% of its
turnover abroad. The manufacturing range is
from 28 gsm to 250 gsm in its varied MF, MG

is a 2500 tcd sugar mill operating at Erode,
Tamil Nadu situated adjacent to SPB. Ponni,
Erode was established in 1984 committed to supplying
bagasse to SPB. Ponni operates on coal fired
boilers and the substituted bagasse comes for
paper making. Ponni operates most of the year
around. It crushed 7.14 lakh tonnes of cane in
2005-2006 with 9.96% recovery. Ponni is ISO
9001 and 14001 certified.
